Calm editorial illustration of the IKnowMyBody female mascot in a plum top, standing confidently against a soft blush sky. Beside her are simple privacy symbols—a phone with a lock shield, a padlock, a fingerprint, and a check mark—representing secure, on-device data protection.

Overview

IKnowMyBody is designed so your cycle and symptom data stays on your device by default. The app does not require an account, does not use a backend service for your personal tracking data, and does not include analytics SDKs.

Information Stored On Your Device: Depending on how you use the app, IKnowMyBody may store period start dates, daily cycle and symptom records, notes you choose to save, privacy settings like app lock preferences, reminder settings, and appearance preferences such as light or dark mode. This information is stored locally on your device.

No Account Requirement & Cloud Sync: You can use IKnowMyBody without creating an account, and it does not upload your cycle or symptom history to a cloud account by default.

Exports, Sharing, and Reminders

Exports and Sharing: If you choose to export a doctor summary, PDF, CSV, or backup file, that export is created locally on your device. You choose whether to save, share, or delete that file. Once you share an exported file with another app or service, that file is handled according to the privacy practices of the destination you choose.

Reminders: Reminder choices are stored locally and scheduled on your device. Notification content is generated locally.

Security & Backups: The app may offer features such as PIN protection, biometric unlock, and verification for sensitive changes. These features are intended to add protection on your device, but no app can promise absolute security in every situation. If you create a backup, that backup file is generated locally. You are responsible for choosing where to store it and how to protect it.

Children, Sensitive Use & Changes

IKnowMyBody is intended to support private cycle and symptom tracking in a respectful, nonjudgmental way. If a parent, guardian, clinician, or educator is helping someone use the app, exported data should only be shared with the user’s knowledge and consent where appropriate.

Policy Updates: If this policy changes, the updated version should be published with a new effective date.
